We offer a comprehensive range
of medical and surgical facilities. Our equipment includes
on-site pathology (IDEXX), isoflurane anaesthetic vaporisers
(the standard of care in human hospitals), radiographic
facilities including automatic developer, special fluid
pumps to ensure accurate dosing of all intravenous fluids,
and a range of monitoring equipment to monitor your
pet’s blood oxygen levels, heart rate and respiratory
rate while under anaesthetic.
All pets undergoing a surgical
(or otherwise uncomfortable) procedure receive strong
pain relief such as morphine or temgesic, both before
and after surgery. Pets may also go home with a range
of different pain relief medications depending upon
individual requirements.
Any animal undergoing an anaesthetic will suffer a fall
in body temperature, so all anaesthetised animals are
placed on heating pads to help maintain their body temperature
during and after the period of anaesthesia. |
